Advantage of prewound bobbins is of course the saving of time of efforts to wind up your own bobbins. All this time can be spend with actual embroidering!
The other big advantage is that this prewound bobbin thread is thinner than the normal bobbin thread, therefore the embroideries will not be as still as with selfwound bobbins. This is especially an advantage for embroideries on clothing.
